Adella is an Energy and infrastructure lawyer advising on cross-border transactions across the energy, natural resources, climate, and infrastructure sectors, with particular experience in Indonesia.

Adella is an Indonesian-qualified lawyer with over eight years of experience advising sponsors, lenders, development finance institutions, government entities, and other stakeholders on cross-border transactions and regulatory matters. She holds an MSc in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford and has advised on joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, project and infrastructure finance, and regulatory matters across the energy, mining, infrastructure, carbon markets, and broader energy transition sectors.

Before joining Resource Law in alliance with Reed Smith, Adella practiced at leading international law firms in Jakarta (A&O Shearman and Baker McKenzie), and completed a legal secondment at Danantara, Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund. She is fluent in English and Indonesian.

  • Advised Danantara Investment Management and its subsidiary on the structuring of investment arrangements with the prospective partners for waste-to-energy (WtE) projects in several locations in Indonesia, including Bekasi City, Greater Bogor, and Greater Denpasar
  • Advised PT Prima Terminal Petikemas, a subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), on its strategic partnership with the Indonesian Investment Authority (INA) and DP World for the development of the Belawan New Container Terminal

  • Advised a client on a US$250 million financing for the development of a 380MW captive power plant in Indonesia
  • Advised an Indonesian client on a US$500 million infrastructure financing to support nickel production operations in Indonesia
  • Advised international lenders on the Legok Nangka WtE project in Indonesia
  • Advised Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) on its acquisition of a 50% interest in a 400MW renewable energy portfolio from PT Akuo Energy Indonesia, a subsidiary of Akuo SAS
  • Advised a consortium, as a bidder, in a tender process conducted by PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) for a strategic partnership transaction involving an existing airport in Indonesia
  • Advised Bank of China on an RMB 4,800 million project financing facility for the construction of advanced nickel and cobalt smelting production lines
  • Advised a Japanese group on the preparation and negotiation of a joint project agreement between an offshore SPV and an Indonesian project operator related to a carbon finance project in Indonesia
